Schiphol, The Netherlands – AircraftConversions, sole manufacturer of the FAA and EASA certified and DGCA validated Fokker50Freighter, has re-delivered the first converted full Fokker50Freighter, msn 20149, to Amapola Flyg in Sweden. The new Amapola Fokker50Freighter will enter into full cargo operations as early as next week.
The second Fokker50, msn 20216, will start the full freighter conversion process taking advantage of the recently completed forward large cargo door pre-assembly modification concept to reduce down time considerably. Re-delivery for full cargo services can now be scheduled for as early as Q2, 2015.
The Fokker50Freighter which features the forward large cargo door of 2.34 x 1.77m (92.1 x 69.7″) will make loading of voluminous freight fast and simple. It will join their current fleet of Fokker50Express aircraft that feature the re-designed E-class cargo cabin interior (with a 60 cu.m., 15.45 m. long and a reinforced floor allowing loads up to 488 kgs / sq.m. and with aluminum / diamond sandwich floor panels.
Fokker50Freighters have proven to be rugged high performance workhorses and offer a wealth of outstanding operational, environmental and economic advantages operating in almost any kind of terrain and under adverse arctic cold-weather conditions.
The newly approved Pre Assembly Modification Package will allow Fokker50 fleet owners worldwide the required flexibility to realize their P2F conversions through authorized MRO organizations on proximal locations substantially reducing aircraft modification downtime.
